| MemcacheD Update |

Just wanted to let everyone know, that a new version of MemcacheD has been released. We will be rolling this out to the memcache nodes during the week of July 20th to 24th. This should have very little impact on the stability of the website; however users may see a slight increase in load times as the cache is re-populated with entries.
The software has been tested and verified to be working just fine with the application; so we perceive this to be a very minimal risk in regards to updating, and the stability of the website.

| OMG!KKM - Looking for Players |

We're seeing double!
Two Yuuris, two Conrads, two Yozaks! For some unexplainable reason (though we all think Anissina had something to do with it), doubles have been appearing in Shin Makoku. The doubles (OOC - out of character) come from parallel worlds, and are very different from their native counterparts (IC - in character). It has caused quite a bit of confusion, and no doubt more than a few headaches. With so many guests in the castle, space is getting tight. Fortunately, some of them don't mind sharing their beds.
omg_kkm is an active Kyou Kara Maou RP on the prowl for new players. We would love to have an IC Gunter, OOC Murata, or any of many other characters!

SMASH! (Sydney Manga and Anime Show) is a convention by fans for fans.
We have a really strong focus on creativity with many cosplay and artist
events, but we’re also working on including writers too. As such, we’d
love to have as many writers as possible enter the competition.
For all who’d like to see their favourite character bizarrely transformed,
some unusual romantic interests or that scene you’re sure is missing
from canon…
SMASH! is running a fanfiction competition for those interested in taking
a bit of creative license to canon (or possibly throwing it right out
the window).
Entries will be judged by a panel of reputable fanfiction authors, chosen
for their skills and knowledge of a broad range of fandoms.
To be in on the action, have a look at the fandom list (you’re sure to
know at least one of them), and pick one of our prompts to use as broadly
as you like to write your fanfic. The skies the limits for what you choose
to write (any scene, any pairing), but all fanfics must be rated G or PG.
The word length of fics is recommended to be between 1000 to 2000 words,
but this is a recommendation, not a hard limit.
Unfortunately prizes will only be awarded to entrants from Australia
or New Zealand, but others are welcome to enter and receive feedback
from our judges.

| Novel 14 chapter 5 |

Got some comments recently with people asking to translate more, so here it is ^_____^
I skipped chapter 4 though because it fried my brain halfway through. It's about Shouri's adventures in Switzerland :D I promise I will finish it before chapter 6, but I need some help. Does anyone know what DTJ is and what does it have to do with Top Gun (the movie I suppose, KKM is really killing me with all its references to pop culture >_<)???
Anyway, if you read chapter 5 first you're not gonna spoil yourself, coz there are almost no direct references to the previous untranslated chapter in there. So don't be afraid.
One technical thing, there are words at the very end of this chapter spoken by a woman, using pronouns and particles women usually use. Since there is no way to indicate that in English, I am gonna use italics for her entire speech.

I've noticed Wolfram is one of the most loved anime characters online. And personally I don't see anything special about him. He seems to act just like all of those female characters that fans can't stand (like Sakura). As you can see I don't really know his positives so...what in the world do people like about him? |

This is loong and you'll notice a few common ideas - borrowed merely, because they made sense and were sufficiently meaningful in a mediaevally-based monarchy to ring true to this story. They are also a bow to my betters, who have written Yuuram with great style and excellence. I salute you!
